Heather Finley, Ph.D., founding owner of Balancing Changes, loves to help people take their performance to the next level and experience personal and professional fulfillment.
Beginning in Iowa, her eastward journey began by first earning a Bachelor's degree in Psychology at the University of Notre Dame, then Master's and Doctorate degrees in Counseling Psychology at the Ohio State University. After (finally) graduating, she moved to Vermont, where she has built a private practice. As a psychotherapist, she specializes in life transitions, optimal performance, and behavioral medicine, which bridges the gap between medicine and psychology.
Dr. Finley brings her expertise in human behavior, the change process, and motivation to the business world, providing a distinct advantage to organizations that aptly choose an expert in human behavior to help develop the potential of its greatest asset: its people.
Enjoying variety and balance, she maintains a part-time psychotherapy practice in Burlington, Vermont, provides diversity training to schools through A World of Difference, and coordinates Vermont's Psychologically Healthy Workplace Award. In her spare time, she cultivates musical creativity through a contemporary a cappella group - Random Association.
